SU QLD - Absailing Day!

How cool is this! I was asked to come photograph some children & chaplains abseiling at the beautiful Kangaroo Point Cliffs on Monday. An event organised by SU QLD.
Eww! I was freaked enough crawling up close to the edge to get some of my shots, so it was a definite no when asked if I wanted a turn! As you do, I did kinda kick myself later at missing out on an exciting opportunity. Oh well, I enjoyed watching! lol
I did the Stock Up for Hope outback tour with these guys, for a couple of days last year. Was so much fun, and met the warmest people. I have added a preview of their promo book, so you can check it out. Looks awesome, if I can say so myself? hehe

Jacinta & Matthew's Wedding 24th May 2008

What an entourage! We had three videographers, two photographers and my photography friend Norm from Divine Studios following these guys around like celebrities! hehe

Such an awesome day! Gorgeous people, gorgeous locations - meant gorgeous images! As you can see, I have struggled to keep it to a couple of highlights. lol
Jacinta looked absolutely stunning, as did the bridesmaids. I loved their dresses! So unique & elegant. I have to laugh, Matt came to me at the end of the night saying see - I wasn't as grumpy as you thought I would be! lol. Poor Matt, I hope I didn't give you a hard time. We got some terrific shots & I really enjoyed photographing you guys.
Jacinta & Matthew had me stay for reception, and I owe a huge huge thank you to Norm for setting up a beautiful slideshow presentation of the days highlights on projector for all of the guests to enjoy. A product I have been considering to offer my couples, which was warmly received. So it's definitely on the cards!

The venue is the amazing Tattersalls Club - Queen St Mall.

Thanks to Helen & Andrew for referring these guys, the recommendation was so good that they paid their deposit & booked me right away - before we even met! Thank you for your confidence in me, I hope you’re as thrilled with your images as I am.

PS. This is not favoritism I promise! I just really struggled to pick my favorites today.lol And sorry about the image order, I really struggle with this blogger for that. if anyone knows of an easier way, they just seem to flip to wherever they want to go!

The McCure Family 22nd May 2008

I knew it was going to be a fun morning when I was greeted with beaming hellos from little Cooper & Lachlan who were playing with their toys in the front bay window. These guys were the sweetest little chickens, sooooo well behaved & easy to work with! Little Brydee did so well too. We did some studio images, then the boys got to play with their new Bionics (I think they were called something else, but man these boys loved these little robot figurines! haha) in the garden. How cute are they, the image of the three kids standing was their own posing, very cool. ;-)

I didn't get a shot, but they had the most impressive photo wall in the lounge - I loved it! Looked so awesome! Very warm & homely. I do miss the old QLDer/weather-board/Brisbane houses, so beautiful.
Thank you for having me in your home, I can't wait for you to see the rest of these images!

Artist Group Meeting

Another lovely session with my little artist group. Once a moth they get together to talk arty business! And I absolutely LOVE it! I'm always so proud to tell my friends during the day that I have this meeting coming up, with a bunch of gorgeously talented young women who have their own arts business's & ideas. We get together to share where we are up to, bounce ideas, & get inspired. I always feel ready to take on the world and get totally focused the next day!

Hmm, although. Today is edit edit edit! I really would like to spend some time on my promotional material for the Coast. That’s my Fridays now - promo day!

Lilian's Baptism 18th May 2008

Sunday was the big day for little Lilly. And what a day! Was a shame it was so windy as Nicole had everything so perfectly planned for the after party of her little angels baptism! It looked like everyone was still having a fantastic time as i was leaving anyhow! But what detail! With the theme of butterflies, Nicole even had fresh butterflies delivered for release later in the day.
Was great to see all the familiar faces again, and look forward to putting together your album! Going to be fantastic. Check out the shots - what a cutie! I have to laugh at the getting ready shots - little bit like a bride! Monte's baptism preparation was nothing on Liliana's! lol
