My belly is growing!

We are at the 6 month mark, can you believe it!
Time flys, and I imagine so much faster when you have a buba to watch grow.

My pregnancy is still going really well, I feel so lucky. Just so excited, and getting into the "nesting" thing. Actually, I think it's Jim more then me!
It all started with a feature wall in bubs room, and has now turned into a full inside paint, and an upside down house over the weekend as we started on a cleaning frenzie - not quite making any sense as we went. lol
The place looks like a bomb hit, but very excited to see it coming together much better then it was before. The aim - to be simplistic and making it easier to clean for when bubs comes!
No more clutter! Something I need help with, and I have the right man for the job. His a gem.

But yes, back to belly. Jim's taken a couple of shots - oddly enough the bigger tum close up shot was taken the week before last weeks beach shot. What a week! Was so lovely, we got up at 4.20am and hit the beach by 5am with the boys most mornings. Feels sooo good, and it's just perfect that time of morning. I hope we can keep it up, then things wont be so challenging when buba arrives. Oww, I don't know, winter is a whole other story in the mornings. lol

It's funny how the bump constantly changes in size, depending upon what and when I have eaten, and the time of day. Looks huge in the below shots, it must have been afternoon.
On Sunday morning we woke to discover the line (Linea Nigrea) is beginning!
Jim can't wait till I'm the size of a basketball, but I'm in no rush. lol
Bubs movement yesterday was heaps, and other days not much at all.
The coolest thing is actually seeing him push out on my belly! I imagine this is only going to get bigger!
Hehe

Oh yes, for those pregnant out there - I am yet to read this, but have been highly recommended the book BIRTH SKILLS by Juju Sundin & Sarah Murdoch

Our BIG news!

So, I thought I would wait until now before I publicly announced.... that I am pregnant!!
I'm so so sooo excited, and can't believe how lucky I have been. No morning sickness, and I really love the experiences of pregnancy - it's just so amazing!

The wait till today was because at 3pm, with both our mums we found out that it's a little..BOY. I can't believe how quickly the little creature has formed, and that in only 4.5 months time, I'm going to be a mum. ME! lol Crazy.

I've started buying books for him, and now I know we have a little boy I know I won’t be able to resist more little treasures for him. I'm so excited that I have been accepted into the Gold Coast Birth Center, where I hope to have a water birth.

For interest, check out this beautiful DVD called Orgasmic Birth. A MUST watch to any expecting couple. It may be a little extreme - I'm not sure about the orgasm, but the philosophy and ideas are just beautiful. It's really nice to help you feel at ease about birthing, if you’re anything like me I was terrified at the thought. Now I just can't wait, and felt even MORE privileged to get into TBC, and I can't wait to meet this little soul.

I'm a little crazy and have even enrolled our little man into school, at the gorgeous Silkwood Steiner School. I just can't wait to watch him learning there. I didn't have the best schooling experiences, so I believe it's an important part of life - I think taking him to school will be like going back to school myself in a way!

Oww, so so sooo excited! Due end of March, but please don't fret. I'm working hard to plan and organise so that Celebrations Studios is running better then ever, so we can keep providing you with gorgeous images of your own families.

The most gorgeous thing that sticks in my mind, said by one of my clients I'm going to finish with was

Catherine, your about to embark on the most amazing love affair of your life. There is no other like it.

A gift of love

I love love love getting flowers, the sweetest gift of love :-)

Song of the Flower

I am a kind word uttered and repeated
By the voice of Nature;
I am a star fallen from the
Blue tent upon the green carpet.
I am the daughter of the elements
With whom Winter conceived;
To whom Spring gave birth; I was
Reared in the lap of Summer and I
Slept in the bed of Autumn.

At dawn I unite with the breeze
To announce the coming of light;
At eventide I join the birds
In bidding the light farewell.

The plains are decorated with
My beautiful colors, and the air
Is scented with my fragrance.

As I embrace Slumber the eyes of
Night watch over me, and as I
Awaken I stare at the sun, which is
The only eye of the day.

I drink dew for wine, and hearken to
The voices of the birds, and dance
To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.

I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.

But I look up high to see only the light,
And never look down to see my shadow.

Check out the below designs, and contact Elizabeth at hennaoasis(at) aapt.net.au to find out more :-) (I'm not sure if I am correct in doing the at instead of @, but I'm trying to protect your email address Elizabeth from junk? lol Hope that works! )
Also, keep an eye on etsy store for new works.

In order prices are:

New Car!!

Out with the old, in with the new. Super excited to get my first JEEP!! I've always wanted one of these babies. Hot! I think they can look pretty tough, and I did love my Surf, I loved the height! - but I needed to upgrade quickly and a Jeep was the only option!
I'm a bit fussy with my cars, gota be tough! I think it's in my blood. haha
Now I need to do a gas conversion, rust proofing and of course, tint the windows pimpin black!
Oh, to keep all my equipment cool - of course ;-)

Was super happy with the car dealer, really genuine and made the process so quick & easy. Robs your man if your looking for some new wheels. Like the move to the Coast, it was an overnight decision and bam - done deal! Haha.
What an awesome 2008! Lovin it!

My Visitors!!

Yeehaa! Was so happy to see my little bubas today! This is my dear friend Lil and her gorgeous Charlie and super special Hayley! I can't play favorites, but am still stoked to be the proud Godmother of little Hayley. Such a special honor! I just wish I had more time to see these guys, but really can't wait till the day when she recognizes me as her godmother - the one to come to to be spoilt, have time out from mum & dad (ha!) by the beach and I really hope I have the pleasure of her coming to me for some advice!
Love you lots guys, great to see how you've both grown! xoxo

Newcastle 26th - 29th Feb

For my little bros birthday on Boxing Day, I booked a random flight to go to Newcastle. Why? Because we have never been there, and we've had a couple of little adventure trips together, so why not. Hehe
Was great fun, & awesome to have some time with the lil man.
I share this with you so you know why your orders are a little behind, seems to be when you think your going to have a quiet period, it's the exact opposite! So thank you for your patience, I'm trippin to Brissy everyday this week so please hang in there! Will get to each & every one of you ;-)

Cheers,

2008 Greenlands Trail Ride

What a wicked weekend! I was so tired, filthy & broken but had THE BEST fun ever & couldn't stop grinning! This was my first big two days (And silly me went for a big ride the day before, so actually THREE) of non stop muddy dusty riding! Haha

With a few spills & lots of help, I always love hitting the bush & surviving on the kindness of others. I had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people, and made some new riding friends! Def need a bigger backpack with my own tools next time round, can't wait to go again.

Here's some to check out, if you know of any other local spots, or big weekends of trail riding, drop me a line. I'm always keen to meet new people (Especially the girls as I don't know many!) to go riding with.

Dalby Moto
Reliability trails Club

Not enough images sorry guys, was too busy gettin amongst it. But check out this jigger that went by on the HARD track, I couldn't believe it. Had to get a quick snap! And yup, decided not to pitch a tent for the night & slept on the dirt. Yeeeha! lol

Australia Day Fun

Woohoo! One of my favorite days of the year! It's the only time we get a little patriotic about our beautiful country, and ALL have BBQs! I hope you had your flags flying proudly - I know I certainly did and might leave it flying from my car for a few days yet. Hehe
How lucky are we! A special day of gratitude ;-)
