Artist Group Meeting - Sunday Chrissy farewell

Another huge thank you to my beautiful man for driving and accompanying me to the Artist Group Christmas lunch in Brissy. I was busting to go to say my farewells to the gorgeous group of talented artists, but was so knackered from the travel on Saturday! And lucky he came, wow, we hit that storm on the way home, I could not believe the traffic from the Coast to Brissy. I’ve never seen it banked up for so many kilometres before!

Anyhow, thank you lovely ladies for having us there – Warmest wishes to each of you and your ventures in 2009!

Gold Coast Womens Network

What a fun night! I went along on the very cold Wednesday night to the meeting held at Grays Financial Solutions in Broady. I got myself a little lost in the mall and I tell you what, It was not the night to be wondering around there!! Brrrr! Breezy! haha
I met some lovely women, and one gentleman - Leo! haha
I even won a lucky door price!!

Winter Fun

Oww, what an awesome afternoon!!
My dear friend Charlotte was location scouting for an upcoming wedding she is photographing at the gorgeous Cedar Creek Estate. I had been busting to do some images playing in the leaves, and what a perfect opportunity to play!! heheeee
I felt like we were back in collage! In fact, thats how Charlotte & I met, back in 1999!
Anyhow, I had a ball and am soo soo excited with these results - what do you think? We both bopped around for each other like idiots, and I must say with age I have finally become a lot more confident in FRONT of the lens. Actually, I loved it! So much fun.
Thanks Char, good luck with the big day this weekend ;-) Wish I could help out, but I have my first ever (well, for as long as I can remember(!) ) long weekend off. Yeaha! Camping here I come. I will probably be occupied ninging round on my newly fixed bike - thank you my lovely James & Mr Frex, haha But will try to get some snaps for you guys.

Photographer Lunch!!

It's THAT time of month. One of my favorite days ;-)

Where I get to catch up with the wonderful collection of photographer friends I have made over the last 12 months. And as usual, Paula pulled off another hat trick and managed to wrangle some of the greats from the AIPP awards cocktail party the evening before, to come & talk with us. I don't think I mentioned, but a couple of lunches back she surprised us all with the amazing guest speaker - Yervant! The WORLDS #1 wedding photographer!! IDOL - helloo!! lol
She had the "nerve" to ask him to speak, and with a phone call the next day apparently Yervant said " Paula, are you crazy!!". lol All the way from Melbourne, we got to pick his brain & enjoy the company of Mr Yervant himself, and his lovely wife Annie.
Was awesome, just awesome!
Anyhow, this week was the gorgeous David Oliver - one of my true favorites. Classic. Along with Andrew Kopp - brilliant and Tero Sade, whos work is also just stunning.

Defiantly keeps me charged, inspired and feeling like ANYTHING is possible. Paula, you’re a legend!

Artist Group Meeting

Another lovely session with my little artist group. Once a moth they get together to talk arty business! And I absolutely LOVE it! I'm always so proud to tell my friends during the day that I have this meeting coming up, with a bunch of gorgeously talented young women who have their own arts business's & ideas. We get together to share where we are up to, bounce ideas, & get inspired. I always feel ready to take on the world and get totally focused the next day!

Hmm, although. Today is edit edit edit! I really would like to spend some time on my promotional material for the Coast. That’s my Fridays now - promo day!

So after meeting Fiona & being told I look nothing like she imagined, I thought it's really overdue having some photographs taken of ME to add to the website - so you can put a face to the name. My dear friend Charlotte Reeves took these for me last week. And, I did some for her - which I will post once she sends me the files ;-)
Of course, my little Spotty man HAD to be in them! haha Geeze, I gota do something about that hair again! Mr Tyson, hellpp!!

Gold Coast Bridal Expo!

What a day!
Nice to meet you all who came along to the expo at the convention center, it was awesome to see so many happy couples. What an overwhelming experience it must have been!

The lovely couple Emma & Ken from Lestep Modern Jive - who teach you how to do the most impressive bridal waltz ever!

Libby from body IQ who does some amazing things - including Body Rescue - cleansing program! The one I though most interesting was the Body Bliss pamper/relaxation session for all the girls to have in their hotel room the night before the wedding! How fun!

Nimma has had some amazing experience working in film & tv as well as photographic & weddings with her hair & make up, and although she currently does not have a website (Since they had never needed one & are new to the Coast)- I do not doubt that she would be brilliant to have as your make-up artist!


We stood there workin it all day & I truly could not have done it without the help of my precious cousin - Alice. Geewiz that girl is awesome! I can't say thank you enough Alice - you soldiered on even when I started to slow down.

And people, don't forget the amazing SHOW SPECIAL we were offering! Ask me me you book your wedding photography.

Bridal Waltz Fun

Hahaha ha! I got this sent to me today from a girlfriend - I thought I should share.. Gave me a giggle in between the CRAZY day that I am having. I don't know how you girls decide on floral arrangements for a wedding, i would be painful! I can't even decide for my Expo coming up this Sunday. I thought this would be the quick & easy bit! Hmm..

Photographers lunch - Yippeee!

What a brilliant way to start the week - a get together with fellow photographers, to talk business, equipment, photos and push bikes crashes! lol
It's a great opportunity & I absolutely love it. I now have some great photographer friends I can get support from, and give. Bit smaller today - but fabulous to see everyone's faces again.

And to think, it all started with just two! ;-) Thank you so much Paula for all your inspiration, support, motivation and friendship.

Obviously I'm all hyper & excited about this new blog - don't be fooled - I doubt I will continue posting this often once everything is full steam ahead for 2008! Really it already is.
I'm in preparation for the Bridal Expo at the Gold Coast Convention Cntr coming up on the 27th Jan, and busy finishing off the 2007 portraits & weddings!!

The new studio space has come together beautifully - what do you think - will my families & brides notice the muddy addition?? lol I like him there!

Hi world!
So, my very first blog entry.

I have found some amazing photographers have blogs to keep in touch with their clients & fellow photographers so I figured why not! I have wasted time with myspace & facebook - so it's time i did something worthwhile!
