Devine Family

Meet the Devine family. I met them at the beautiful Canungra Valley Vineyard. The house actually use to belong to their grandparents, relocated from Warwick.
It was dad's 70th Birthday celebration, so they organised for a family get together, coming from Adelaide , Brisbane, Toowoomba & Gold Coast all to celebrate over lunch. We managed to fit in some quick photographs showing off the gorgeous building and this lovely family.
Thanks guys, will open your online gallery soon :-)

David & Anita's Wedding

Owww, what a gorgeous day! I met up with Anita & David briefly in Brisbane last week, and knew their special day was going to be fun! They are so friendly & warm. We chatted and chatted about our puppy dogs, and even decided to do a trash the dress session on the beach after their ceremony. Unfortunately though, well, we were fortunate too! When the day came, it was too wet by the time we headed to the beach. FORTUNATLY there was not a drop during the ceremony and photographs at the gorgeous Mouse House. Oh my gosh! You HAVE TO escape to this place, up in Springbrook. WOW! So beautiful!! And the little cottage was just stunning. I can't wait to go stay there one weekend myself.

It was the most beautiful little ceremony, with just two guests Wayne from the Mouse House, and Anita's lovely friend, Sam. Whom she bumped into in Brissy, and was a huge help with dress disaster help, make-up, hair & holding my light - thank you so much Sam - it wouldn't have been the same without you. It was just so so special to be apart of their day, I felt very privileged.
The vows bought a tear to my eye, written by Anita and conducted by Marlee from Heart2 Heart Ceremonies.
My favorite celebrant on the Coast, Marlee is a wealth of knowledge and gives her couples so many wonderful options. David & Anita had a sand ceremony, using the sand from their home, all the way up in Townsville.
Their family and friends are busting to see their photographs, as they will be presented to them all as part of their celebrations when they return home. Congratulations guys, and thanks again for having me apart of your day - it was beautiful. xoxo

I got up bright an early today (5.30am - as i WAS shooting up in Brissy, but yet again, the wet weather has had me cancel an outdoor shoot - however it gave me time to upload loads of images from their day. Enjoy :-)

How awesome is the red dress, oh oh, and how sweet is the Mouse House resident doggy.

Cricket Australia

To all those Cricket fans, you would have loved what I did today! A whole day, of photographing cricket. Haha. The Emerging Players Tournamnet goes for two weeks, I photographed India vs South Africa, Australia VS New Zealand. Again, something different and interesting to see. I have never watched so much cricket in my lifetime! haha
I had photographed the Australian team back at the start of the year (another session I may not have posted) , and was thrilled to be invited back for more team shots, and some action. Definitely could have benefited with an even bigger monster zoom! (I had a 300mm, which converted to 450mm on the Canon 30D)

A gift of love

I love love love getting flowers, the sweetest gift of love :-)

Song of the Flower

I am a kind word uttered and repeated
By the voice of Nature;
I am a star fallen from the
Blue tent upon the green carpet.
I am the daughter of the elements
With whom Winter conceived;
To whom Spring gave birth; I was
Reared in the lap of Summer and I
Slept in the bed of Autumn.

At dawn I unite with the breeze
To announce the coming of light;
At eventide I join the birds
In bidding the light farewell.

The plains are decorated with
My beautiful colors, and the air
Is scented with my fragrance.

As I embrace Slumber the eyes of
Night watch over me, and as I
Awaken I stare at the sun, which is
The only eye of the day.

I drink dew for wine, and hearken to
The voices of the birds, and dance
To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.

I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath;
I am the memory of a moment of happiness;
I am the last gift of the living to the dead;
I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.

But I look up high to see only the light,
And never look down to see my shadow.

Real Estate

The Celebrations business name & vision is aimed at Celebrating events, however, I do have experience photographing corporates, products & real estate. Today I exercised this skill and photographed a property in Worongary. It will be listed with the lovely Maria Hancock, from Real Estate of Distinction.
I love the variety I get from working as a photographer. My Real Estate experiences really kicked off when a portrait family of mine asked me to get in a Cherry Picker to photograph their property, man that was fun! haha Keep an eye, there will be more properties to come! :-)
